Frequently Asked Questions

What Is a Reasonable Price for a Haircut?

A reasonable price for a haircut depends on the type of cut you want and where you go. An essential men's haircut starts at about $15, while a woman's haircut costs more, starting at about $30. A more complicated cut might cost over $100 because of the stylist's training, experience, and time spent on the haircut.

Is $60 Expensive for a Haircut?

A haircut typically costs around $50-$70, depending on the length and type of hair. However, some salons may charge more or less depending on the location, stylist, and demand. It will be more expensive if you get it at a high-end salon or by a well-known stylist. A cheaper option would be to go to a salon chain or a barbershop.

How Much Do You Tip for a $20 Haircut?

If a haircut costs $20, a tip of 15% to 20% is customary, depending on the quality of the service. If you were happy with your haircut and the service, you should tip on the higher end of the scale.
